Comic Book Noise 186: Six Great Comic Books

November 4th, 2009 by Derek | Filed under Comic Book Noise.

Host Derek Coward talks about six great (not just good) comic books:
Planetary #27
Ignition City #5 (And I made a HUGE misspeak in this review. Let me know if you can tell what it was.)
Zero Killer #6
Buck Rogers #5
Dynamo 5 #25
Madame Xanadu #16

I also take a quick look at Marvel Previews.

Anthony Castrillo has been around for a bit: http://comicbookdb.com/creator_chron.php?ID=2113 – he is a Byrne inspired artist much along the same way Jimenez is a Perez artist. They ape the style but manage to make it their own on most levels. I forget where I saw his work first – Flash maybe? But it was pretty cool then as well.

Peter, the weird thing is, I have a bunch of books that he worked on.
He never made an impression on me before this. I am going to have to
dig some of his older stuff out of the long boxes and take another
    look at them.
