Despite your disparagement of Dragonball Z, I did listen to this entire episode. The last time manga was discussed for more than a minute, you said you would not do a podcast on manga. I guess this is my opening.

Sanctuary by Sho Fumimura and Ryoichi Ikegami is the type of manga you seem to prefer. It's an action drama and it's as beautiful as it's engaging.

I wanted Mike to read this, but he gets physically ill when he reads manga, or sees anime, or whatever the bloody hell reason he has.

Also, I will say again that Shaman Warrior (which is a manhwa and not a manga) is one of the best books I have read that is neither from Japan nor America. This is realistically drawn and the action is phenomenal.

Samurai Executioner, Lady Snowblood and Path of the Assasin would appeal to you as they have many similarities to LW&C.
