Manhunter by Walt Simonson

Comic Book Noise 353: Infinity, Guardians of the Galaxy, and Walt Simonson

Host Derek Coward returns to talk about his son not wanting to read comic books, his disappointment in the way Infinity was collected, his hopes for the Guardians of the Galaxy movie, and he appreciation for the picture drawing and word writings of Walt Simonson. There’s also a prolonged wishlist of 70s era books he wants to get, but it got a little rambly and he might have stopped paying attention to what he was saying.

Flattr this!

  1. The gadgetry and fight scenes are nicely rendered. The aeronautical battles, though, fall well short of state-of-the-art. Maybe they’re collateral damage to the film’s goofy style

  2. There are obvious touchstones here in Star Wars and Indiana Jones, but Gunn allows his influences to inform rather than define the film.
