I think that Black Adam saying “I’m sorry” is significant because that’s what Captain Marvel changed his word to. It’s the last thing Black Adam would ever let pass his lips.

This is a man who would tear a woman in half for talking back to him. He’s never been sorry for anything. This makes me excited for the Black Adam mini.
